2012 Chicago Southland Visitors Guide is Now Available

The 2012 Chicago Southland Visitors Guide, the official regional destination publication of the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau, is hot off the presses and available free by calling 708-895-8200.

The 2012 Visitors Guide is arranged into “Categories,” where visitors will find accommodations, dining, things to see and do, arts & culture, shopping, transportation and other visitor amenities within the region. The content of these categories is then grouped into “Areas” of the Chicago Southland. Four pages have been added to the 70-page guide to lighten the design with bits of trivia and interesting facts about the Chicago Southland have been sprinkled throughout.

“We’ve found visitors appreciate looking for the category listing first, as opposed to grouping all of the amenities in each area together,” said Chicago Southland CVB President and CEO Jim Garrett. “The 2012 Visitors Guide portrays the Southland in a bold, colorful, and exciting way, and I encourage everyone to take a look at the new guide.”

Highlights include descriptions and pictures of the wide variety of venues located within the region: TOYOTA PARK for big-name concerts and Chicago Fire soccer; the First Midwest Amphitheater for touring musical groups; Major League Baseball at U.S. Cellular Field with the Chicago White Sox; Balmoral Park for live harness racing; Frontier League baseball with the Windy City ThunderBolts at Standard Bank Stadium, and fun for the kids at the Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn, among much more!
