Channel your inner Chicago Italian for Cinco De Mayo with Aurelio’s Taco Pizza

Cinco De Mayo, May 5, commemorates the victory of the Mexican militia over the French army at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. And, yes, bonus I.Q. points for anyone who already knew that. More people, however, know it as the day in May to celebrate with Mexican food, drink and music. At Aurelio’s, we offer our own version of Cinco De Mayo. We stop short of calling it “Cinque Maggio” but we do pay an “Italian-style by way of Chicago” tribute to the famed Mexican triumph over the French army with our popular Taco Pizza.

One of Aurelio’s favorites year round, the Taco Pizza is the deliciously festive way to pay homage to Cinco. With seasoned ground beef topped with cheddar cheese, black olives, tomatoes, lettuce and mild Ortega’s, Aurelio’s Taco Pizza is served with sour cream and salsa. We hope to see you Saturday.
