The Drake University senior magazines majors have reinvented their capstone probject by creating a startup men's magazine for the iPad. Man Up magazine is available today as a downloadable app on the iPad and as a condensed app on iPhones and the Samsung Galaxy S3.
"It's been an exciting new challenge to write and promote to a male audience," says Emily Tozer, editor-in-chief and graduate of HF High School. "Particularly as an all-female staff, we have had to really consider what topics our audience wants and needs as well as the voice and tone in which to convey them."
Man Up magazine's goal is to help their readers live life on the next level. The magazine covers topics like food, sports, technology, sex and relationships. It features stories such as "Crafting a Cold One," which gives readers tips on how to get a perfect home brew the first time. "Make Up or Break Up" offers advice for readers considering whether to get back together with their ex. And readers will find 10 ways to test their skills and endurance in "Are You Man Enough?"
