Attempted Abduction

An eighth-grade student at Parker Junior High School told police a man driving a black SUV pulled up to her as she waited for the bus near Olive Road and Kedzie Avenue around 8 a.m. and asked her if she needed a ride. The man, described by the juvenile as African American and about 40 years old, had a medium brown complexion and a black and gray mustache and beard. She said he wore a black baseball hat and asked her several questions before another vehicle pulled up behind him, forcing him to move along. The girl also told police she noticed red and white logos of some kind in the back window of the vehicle. The girl’s father, school authorities and police were immediately notified.
