Theft Pursuit Lands Woman With Driving Charges
Ieasha F. Cook, 36, of the 200 block of Halsted in Chicago Heights was charged with driving with a suspended license when police caught her attempting to help a theft in progress around 4:30 p.m. The thief, who’s name was not provided, was charged with retail theft for stealing $23.62 worth of assorted tools and clothing from Menards.
Allan Howard, 23 of the 12400 block of South LaSalle in Chicago was charged with retail theft after video surveillance revealed him stealing a co-workers cell phone at Super Kmart sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. Howard also admitted to stealing two video games earlier in the month.
Stolen Nintendo Leads to Warrant Arrest
Timothy Craig, 39, of the 1900 block of 191st Street in East Hazel Crest was charged with retail theft after police caught him stealing a $169.00 Nintendo DS gaming system from Target shortly after noon. Failure to give his name upon arrest also landed Craig a charge of obstructing an officer. He had good reason, though, as a fingerprint scan revealed Craig’s identity along with a warrant for parole violation.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
Two black males were spotted stealing a wireless cell phone headset valued at $129.99 from Target shortly after 6 p.m. The first man is described six-feet-one-inch tall and roughly 220 pounds. The second man is described as five-foot-eight-inches tall and 170 pounds. Both escaped the scene in a car together before police could apprehend them.
