First Homewood Cash Mob Is a Hit

Scores of people came out to shop at Art 4 Soul over the weekend during the Southland's first ever Cash Mob.

In but a lightening fast two-hour interval, the mob came and left last Saturday.

"This is very much different than a normal day of business," Owner Jen Sesto said. "This has been a tremendous, tremendous outpouring of the community."

Beyond the immediate influx of cash, Sesto says she is confident the mob will produce residual value as well.

"This is what Homewood's all about," Homewood Community Development Director Paula Wallrich said. "We do have a pretty strong shop local program, but this epitomizes everything we try so hard to do and it's all happening on one day."
