These are fantastic photos! That brat looks so good, I'm craving one now! I always love to see and hear the IJP kids at this event. It's a diverse bunch of kids and a terrific music teacher!

I'd like to see Kaotic Drumline at every event for the rest of my life, frankly. Whoever thought to book them is a hero!

Okay, here it is. Flossmoor Fest did everything Homewood Days failed to do: highlight what is wonderful about the village, give families a place to gather, give local businesses a place to meet 'n' greet, give kids a safe environment to run around and be kids, entertain young and old, and allow community input. In short, Flossmoor Fest brought a community together. It was BY the community FOR the community. It was only one day, and it was wonderfully done. Kudos to the people who put so much time and effort into it. Thank you!

I agree - Homewood should take notes, the last Homewood days was a pretty sad event in my opinion. Personally I think they should forget the bands that draw the wrong crowds or give tickets to Homewood residents and sell them at a very high price for non-residents. Homewood people support Homewood and the village should support and entertain them first.

Flossmoor Fest was fantastic, as it normally is. I am. Homewood resident now, but grew up in Flossmoor. I much prefer Flossmoor Fest now that we have young children. It's the perfect family event; great for kids of all ages! Just enough to do, without making it a circus. And best of all, it showcases the LOCAL restaurants, businesses, and organizations!

This looks 100% better then Homewood Days! Good Job Flossmoor

As I drove by on Flossmoor Road Saturday, all I saw were signs saying "no dogs" and so on. There were three large signs at the park on the east side of the tracks and three at Sterling. Did I miss the "Welcome to Flossmoor Fest" sign that was four times bigger than the "NO" signs. The "NO" signs were quite off-putting.

Thanks for the photo coverage of the IJP School Choir. We've never missed a festival yet and we love to participate.
