Tuesday, March 22

Stolen Wallet

A Glenwood juvenile was charged with felony theft and unlawful use of a credit card after stealing a Beecher woman’s wallet at H-F High School sometime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on March 21, according to police. The juvenile attempted to use the stolen credit card five times, returned to the high school, left again, and attempted to use another card, according to police.

Monday, March 21

Brewery Tiff

Yemisi Dinkins, 34, of the 16400 block of Greenwood Avenue in South Holland, was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property after an altercation with a Country Club Hills man at the Flossmoor Station Restaurant and Brewery at 7:45 p.m., according to police. Police said Dinkins entered the restaurant, approached the man and splashed his drink in the man's face. She then knocked items from the table onto the floor and scratched the man’s neck, according to police. Two glasses were broken, and Flossmoor Station will be filing a complaint for the damaged property, according to police.

Domestic Battery

A University Park man kicked in the back door of a Flossmoor woman’s home and then kicked over a television inside the home, according to police. The Flossmoor woman was given a complaint and summons packet, according to police. No charges had yet been made.

Automotive Burglary

Someone broke into a Flossmoor man’s vehicle and stole a checkbook sometime between 8 p.m. on March 19 and 8:30 a.m. on March 20, according to police.

Saturday, March 19

Intoxicated Driving

A Homewood juvenile was charged with improper lane usage and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after police arrested him for driving while intoxicated, according to police. Police said they pulled the juvenile over after the wheels of his car ramped up onto the curb while executing a turn. Police said they noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana and alcohol emitting from the juvenile’s vehicle. A field test indicated that the juvenile had a blood alcohol content of .124 percent, according to police. Police said they completed a zero tolerance form after the juvenile failed additional sobriety tests after he was taken into the station.

Possession of Marijuana

Joseph Golston, 30, of the 18200 block of Fountainbleau Drive in Hazel Crest, was charged with disobeying a stop sign and was issued a complaint for felony possession of marijuana over 30 grams but less than 500 grams after police discovered 59 grams of marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop, according to police. Police said they witnessed Golston enter a house and exit two minutes later. Gloston left the house, and failed to make a complete stop at a stop sign, according to police. Police said they pulled him over and discovered several bags of marijuana in addition to a deceptive container with a “Liquid Wrench” label filled with marijuana. Golston’s vehicle was towed, according to police.
