When did screaming become "singing" ??? Don't give up your day job. If you have one.

I hope you try again Ashley, you stayed strong and showed yourself. I did not recognize the song you chose, so it's hard to know what to compare it too. I would love to hear you sing again, good luck with school.

This is possibly not Ashley's most proud moment. I give her high marks for putting herself out there and trying to further her career in a brave way. Why would any of you make negative comments towards another community member who is just trying her best?

I don't know why they had to mention that Ashley went to HF. That doesn't add a thing to this story.

The reason we included that detail was to explain why this post was locally relevant to H-F readers.

To those of you who are so quick to judge, anyone who has ever seen Ashley perform with the H-F theatre knows she's nothing short of amazing. I do not know her personally but because my daughter is also involved in theatre, I've had the honor of seeing her perform. The Idol song choice didn't convey her musical strengths but regardless, it's a real shame to see H-F people judging their own so thoughtlessly. If you're reading this Ashley, when you make it big in musical theatre (because you will) you can play this stupid Idol clip to inspire others to persevere like you did. All the great artists have a story like this to tell...now you've got yours. Rock on.
