Homewood Artist To Offer Colorful Class At Chicago Heights Park District
Homewood artist Chuck Michaels invites Chicago Heights residents to see the world in living colors.
Homewood artist Chuck Michaels is encouraging Chicago Heights residents to get in touch with their creative side through his new classes starting in January through the park district.
Michaels, who will teach an evening watercolors course for seniors and another open to all ages, acknowleges that some people lack confidence with a paintbrush.
"I always tell people: With watercolors, you get pleasant surprises," said Michaels, "You can do it."
Michaels is an exhibitor at Chicago Heights' Union Street Gallery, 1527 Otto Blvd, as well as the Tall Grass Arts Association in Park Forest. He has also volunteered at Glenwood High School.
"I've been painting since I was a youngster," Michaels said, but is happy to report that one can become a painter at any age.
For more information about either of the the five week watercolors classes, call the Chicago Heights Park District at 708-755-1351.
The classes are scheduled to meet at the East Golf Course at 315 Glenwood Rd.
