Homewood Days Round Two; Kindergarten Orientation: The Week Ahead

The Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce will be giving Homewood Days 2012 a second shot at Tuesday's board meeting.

TUESDAY, March 13

Homewood Village Board Meeting

When/where? 7:30 p.m. at Homewood Village Hall

The Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce will be representing their plan for Homewood Days 2012 for the boards concensus approval during Tuesday's meeting. Despite the initial, unfavorable reaction from the board two weeks ago, the Chamber of Commerce says they still intend to hold Homewood Days this year.

Interfaith Job Search Network Workshop: "From Hiring to Hired"

When/where? 6:30 p.m. at B'nai Yehuda Beth Sholom

"The presentation is a full scope look at job hunting including those dreaded interview questions.  Faith Newman, Assistant Director of Human Resources at Olivet Nazarene is the speaker.The workshop is free and welcome to all."

WEDNESDAY, March 14

District 153 Kindergarten Orientation

When/where? 2 p.m. at the Willow School

"Parents of children who will be starting kindergarten in the fall are cordially invited to District 153's Willow School for a parent orientation.  Parents will learn about Willow's kindergarten program, meet the staff, and have the chance to pick up registration forms."

THURSDAY, MARCH 15

Lego Club

When/where? 1:30 p.m. at the Homewood Public Library

"Do your children love to play with Legos? Bring them to Lego Club at the Homewood Library! No registration is required for this free event."

FRIDAY, March 16

Teen St. Patrick's Day Party

When/where? 7 p.m. at the Marie Irwin Center

"A special raffle extravaganza is available the entire night. Each teen receives ten tickets to place in different containers representing prizes they would like to win. At the end of the evening one ticket is selected from each container and the prize is awarded to that teen. Music, billiards, Wii and concessions are available the entire evening. Concessions are available for purchase."

St. Joseph's Annual Lenten Fish Fry

When/where? 4:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish

"All you can eat Alaskan Pollack Fish Dinner. Shrimp or Catfish dinners available. Spaghetti or mac and cheese for the pasta lovers. Come for the food and stay for the fun!"

SATURDAY, March 17

Coyote Run Golf Course Opening Day

When/where? 10 a.m. at Coyote Run Golf Course

Summer might not be quite upon us but you can at least get out and golf.  Join us on opening day for our annual St. Patty's Day Scramble and the opening of the NEW Wiley's Grill at Coyote Run.
