Since living in Homewood for Decades, I remember the installation of the outside meter readings. I would like to know what is wrong with my meter. Why is it worth replacing? I am already afraid of the cost going by 4!

New technology in meters permits meters to be "read" without a meter-reader, and also make monthly billing the norm. I think most of the residents would prefer a monthly bill, rather than that giant thing that appears every 3 months. Manpower savings in not having to "visit" every meter would provide some payback on the expense.
