Late Night Booze Cruise Ends in Trouble for Robbins Woman
The 24-year-old Robbins woman received four charges, including a DUI, after police pulled her over at 2 a.m. last Saturday.
What began as a party cruise for Jasmine Parker and some of her friends ended up as a particularly bad night for the 24-year-old of 13727 St. Louis Ave in Robbins.
Police observed driver Parker weaving in and out of lanes and driving erratically along the 17600 block of Halsted St. just before 2 a.m on Saturday, Sept. 15, according to the report. Police say they noticed an “extreme odor” of alcohol emitting from the vehicle when it was pulled over.
Officers administered several field sobriety tests to Parker, all of which she failed, but not before urinating in her pants during the process, according to the report. A search of the vehicle reveled a clear bag with assorted prescription painkiller medication in it as well as two open bottles of Hennessey Cognac, police say.
The group was transported to the Homewood Police Station where officers gave Parker a breath alcohol test, according to the report. Police say that, after twelve attempts, Parker’s breath sample turned out “insufficient.” Parker did, however, admit to driving under the influence of alcohol, the report said. Parker was charged with the following:
- Improper lane usage
- Driving with a suspended license
- Improper transportation of open alcohol
- Driving under the influence of alcohol
Parker was given an October court date at Bridgeview Courthouse.
