Ask Obama, Romney: Patch Is Collecting Reader Questions for the Next Presidential Debate
If you have a question for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.
If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.
The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.
Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.
All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.
Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

For Gov. Romney...Will you please name three positions that you currently hold that you have not flip flopped on?
For Pres. Obama...Will you state your opinion of how and whether we can get a public option placed into Obamacare?

And if Obama said the public option will be available as soon as he cuts the deficit in half (as he promised 4 years ago), would you believe him?

If you could ignore all the consequenses, political correctness, and fear of fallout, what one question would you love to see your opponent answer with 100% honesty right now in front of the entire nation?

For Governor Romney: Why do you want to increase military spending by $2 trillion when the Pentagon didn't ask for it, we already spend more on defense than the next 13 highest military spending countries combined, and we have a deficit/debt problem that everyone recognizes?

The military-industrial complex is just a corporate welfare scheme and the politicians continually use fear as the hook to get us to fall for this boondoggle.
If preparing for war brought peace, why then did was the US involved in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cambodian Civil War, the Invasion of the Domincan Republic, the Lebanese Civil War, the Iran-Iraq War, the Invasion of Panama, the Persian Gulf War, the Somali Civil War, the Kosovo War, the Afghanistan War, the Iraq War, the LIbyan Civil War -- not to mention all of the covert CIA meddling all across the world.
Who benefits from this military-industrial complex? Not your average citizen -- no they're the ones that send their sons and daughters off to die and pay taxes to bomb other countries. It is the 1% who benefit because this military empire insures that they will dominate the world's economy and they can be certain that a steady flow of corporate welfare will always be there.

I'm not an occupier. I pay double the rate of federal taxes as Romney does and I don't want to pass down a huge debt to my children.

you see, the powers that be that control the, as you put it "one percent," have already shifted there influence beyond the shores of the U.S. It is out of our hands anyways. It is those soldiers who courageously die for our country which instills hope in my life as a U.S. citizen. I'll tell you what though, it is the republican which gives me the hope as an American citizen to make a dream come true through a God given capitalistic society. So to you, U.S. Soldier and average God fearing average joe, thank you!

For both Obama and Romney: What are both of you going to about our Mexican border drug trafficing and illegals? It seems that this is a situation that is making our country more insecure than Afghanistan!!

For Gov. Romney -- You support smaller government. You oppose Obamacare because it will increase government. You support healthcare plans at the state level. Either way government will increase--either the federal government or the state government. Why don't you think that your position is contradictory?

Obama, Why does Congress not have to be incluided in Obamacare? Why hasn't congress balanced the budget? Why don't we drill for oil here in the US and be free of the Middle East? Why is your or Michelles's face on the Patch or Comcast everytime I turn my computer on? What is exactly the attraction to you? Why wont you show us your college records? I could go on and on but there is only so much space!

After seeing the violence and corruption that was caused by the prohibition of alcohol, and the subsequent drop in crime and violence after it was legalized... do you see the parallels to the modern prohibition on certain drugs and the violence and corruption it has created? And if you do see the parallels, why isn't legalization being seriously considered as a way to end all of the needless violence and corruption taking place along the US border?

Question for Gov. Romney: Gov. Romney, you and Mr. Ryan have repeatedly said that your 20% across-the-board tax cut, coupled with elimination of exemptions and other deductions would result in a revenue-neutral tax environment. You and Mr. Ryan have said the math and studies prove this point. Then, when asked which exemptions would be eliminated, you both say that Congress will determine those later. How can you swear the math works when you say that half the equation has yet to be determined???

These are actually decent questions and not the typical "I am a long time resident of Homewood and am mad at all black people" questions. Very nice. I am impressed! God bless you. God bless America....ALL of America!:-)
