Preckwinkle Endorses Hutchinson Over Former Staffer Kelly: 2nd District Election

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle gave a simple explanation for her surprising endorsement.

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is endorsing State Sen. Toi Hutchinson in the 2nd Congressional District election, CBS Chicago reports.

Preckwinkle chose Hutchinson over Robin Kelly, who was her chief administrative officer for two years. Preckwinkle said Hutchinson is in prime position to win the Feb. 26 primary election, mainly because her legislative district is in the 2nd Congressional District.

The board president said she has no problems with Kelly, but went with Hutchinson because she believes the state senator is the "strongest candidate."

“There are lots of qualified people in this race but I felt it was important to make a choice and Toi Hutchinson will be the strongest candidate,” Preckwinkle told The Associated Press.

Toi doesn't pay her bills ( https://w3.courtlink.lexisnexis.com/cookcounty/Finddock.asp?DocketKey=CAAF0MB0BABJCC0MD ) , neither does the state, and the US Government couldn't pay theirs without their friendly loan shark, the People's Republic of China. So, in some twisted sense, Toni is right, Toi is a perfect congresswomen for the most indebted country ($17 trillion and counting...) in the history of earth....

Well, she certainly had a problem with RR because he deserves a "special place in hell".

The strongest candidate, really. Tell us, what exactly is it about her bill sponsor and voting record that supports this "endorsement"?

This is just another example of what a black racist Preckwinkle is.

If one lives in Homewood or Flossmoor what difference does it make? We have been the unrepresented for years and that is not going to change. Due to the art of gerrymandering we have the honor to be without representation but the duty to pay the bills.

The Illinois Slating Commission for the Second Congressional District is advising potential candidates for Congress Person to take extra precautions and keep alert for coyotes while in Cook, Will and Kankakee Counties. They advise potential candidates to wear noise-producing devices; such as, little bells on their clothing, to alert, but not startle, the coyotes unexpectedly.
They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with coyotes. It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of coyote activity.
Coyotes have been reputed to have the ability to sense of fear, resulting from unsavor illegal actions taken by potential second congressional candidates. In order for candidates to protect themselves, candidates should recognize the difference between small young coyote and large adult coyote droppings.
Young coyote droppings are smaller and contain cat bones and possibly bird feathers.
Adult alligators droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray.

Keeping slanderous comments out of this conversation, if commentors don't put skin in the game, that is run for office, they should keep sanctomonious, hot air bitching from this forum. Candidates for any reason, are running for positions previously held by racists, perverts, and bi-polars. Listen to what they say they offer, get answers to legit questions, make a decision vote, or take a valium.

Isn't truth a defense to slander charges? Yes, God forbid the voters debate the merits (or lack thereof) of the candidates amongst themselves. I disagree with your view, but at least I understood that post. The coyote references in the previous were far too oblique for an old broken down poet like me to comprehend.......

Toi just posted on Social Media:"This morning I attended Hadiya Pendleton's funeral. Every time we lose someone like Hadiya it is a devastating loss to our community here in Chicago. I have a daughter her age, and I feel that it is my responsibility to protect her, her friends, and all girls and boys just like them. I pray that we can find a solution to the problems we face--we owe that as much to ourselves as to our children"
SO.......Does she know this young lady or was she just attending a dead girl's funeral to scare up some votes?? Twisted and morbid.........
