UPDATE: Oak Forest's Skirha Gets the Biggest Roar from the Crowd

Oak Forest softball standout Jourdan Skirha came up big n the Bengals' drive to win the South Suburban Blue championship. She also came up big in Patch's MVP ballot, outpolling 10 others to become eligible for May Patch Athlete of the Month recognition.

Who gets the biggest roar from the crowd this week?
Marist's Brooke Wyderski has been supplying plenty of power for the RedHawks during a recent tear at the plate. She hit a ninth-inning grand slam in Marist's thrilling 7-3 victory over Marian Catholic. She also homered and drove in four runs in a 9-2 victory over Joliet Catholic Academy.
Evergreen Park baseball standout Tom Martin went 3-for-3 and scored five runs in the Mustangs' 23-9 victory over Thornwood.
Marian Catholic boys tennis standout Julian Childers defeated Homewood-Flossmoor's Brad Holt 1-6, 6-1, 7-5 to win the singles championship in the Marian Catholic Sectional. Childers also led the Spartans to the team title with 30 points.
Lincoln-Way North junior right-hander Mike Miller fired a four-hit shutout in the Phoenix's 9-0 victory over district rival Lincoln-Way West. He struck out 11.
Katie Christner went 3-for-3 in Andrew's 11-10 victory over Lincoln-Way North. She slugged two homers and drove in seven runs. She also scored two runs.

Yes, and what is amazing is that Brooke hit 7 homeruns in a 6 game stretch from May 10 to May 19, including a grand slam in the 9th to beat Marian Catholic.
