While residents from Homewood, Flossmoor and the surrounding areas show up to Lions Club Pool to beat the heat, lifeguards continue to work on safety skills with frequent drills throughout the week. For Lions Club Pool, safety is a top priority.
"We have a superior guard staff here," Assistant Pool Manager DaryleAnn Gasparovich said. "I would bring my own children."
While temperatures continue to rise, Lions Club Pool continues to offer various events and swim lessons. Adult lap swim is available as well as children's swim lessons.
Pool memberships are still available at the Irwin Center.
