If not for conservatives like Gingrich, who could the libs make fun of? I submit that we could have men on the moon before your car runs on algae, like Obama says. Oh wait, they were there on the moon over 40 years ago? Now for the algae.......

Homewood Jim, I love it when you comment. You crack me up, comparing Gingrich to President Kennedy. You have to admit that it's kind of funny that the example you bring up of American ingenuity was introduced by a Democrat! And for the good of the country, everyone worked together to make it happen. My, how have times changed! Now we have Republicans blocking Obama at every turn (just cuz) while showing no respect to education and science, even blaming teachers for our economic troubles and writing budgets that put college even further out of reach for those future potential scientists.

Without making science a priority, how will we ever have algae-run cars or a nice colony for Newt to spend his remaining golden years on the moon? I suppose we could just wait for China to figure it all out . . .

How can you always blame republicans? President Obama's budgets have gotten shot down twice. Senate voted one down 98-0 and the entire house including every democrat voted down the next. Not one Democrat vote, twice. Before the 2010 election Democrats had a super majority that could never be stopped. How could they block anything? Democrats had too many defectors that are afraid of re election. There is plenty of blame to go around for both parties.

Denise, you totally missed my point. Newt spouted something about colonies on the moon - no reference to JFK intended or implied. The answer to your question is private enterprise (the profit motive), not government. We can't afford any more Solyndras, or the many other as yet un-named government money pits.

What Obama has done to the country is no laughing matter. At least Newt and Clinton balanced the budget, although the deficit still increased.

What Obama has done to the country? I suppose you think your hangover is caused by your morning coffee, too.

Are you better off than you were four years ago? Besides spending more than all of the presidents combined, he has placed us all into tribes. Black against white, black against Latino, men against women, straight against gay, poor against rich, working against unemployed, etc.

Read Rules for Radicals and everything President Obama does makes sense.

Please be careful what you say around Denise - Saul Alinsky is one of her heroes!

Alinsky would have been a typical Obama voter....he earned a degree that he could never use in the real world. He probably didn't have any debt though since free/cheap money for college wasn't readily available.

Rather, a Tea Party hero--from Christian Science Monitor:
"FreedomWorks, the tea party group headed by former Republican House leader Dick Armey, gives copies of 'Rules for Radicals' to its leaders. 'His tactics when it comes to grass-roots organizing are incredibly effective,' FreedomWorks spokesman Adam Brandon told The Wall Street Journal. Tea partyers aggressively confronting lawmakers at town hall meetings is straight from Alinsky’s playbook."
