Meet the New Team Running H-F Patch
We're evolving with Patch, and that means some reorganizing.
Meet the new team that will run the Patch network serving the Southland Patch communities. We'll still bring you coverage of what's going on in town and continue to be the place where you can share conversation, photos, events and more with the community. But instead of just one editor, you’ll have a team of professionals, including Police Editor Nick Swedberg, Community Editor Ryan Fitzpatrick and Associate Regional Editor Lauren Traut.
For H-F news tips and additional questions, contact Associate Regional Editor Lauren Traut by email or phone at 708.382.0737.
What really makes a Patch special is the way it captures and amplifies a community’s voice—your voice. There are plenty of ways to participate:
- Start a blog in our Local Voices section
- Post an event to our calendar
- Spread the word through an announcement
- Reach out to us with thoughts and ideas (click the names for email links): Ryan Fitzpatrick (708-768-7048); Nick Swedberg (630-666-8863); Lauren Traut (708-382-0737).
- While you’re at it, follow us on Facebook
- Join Patch, sign up for a free user account
Personal Note from H-F Editor Ryan Fitzpatrick
I wanted to let you all know, first-hand, that I will not be leaving H-F Patch. Rather than maintain a one-person juggling act, we're specializing our individual roles to help deliver a better, more consistent product to our readers. I'll now be producing content for a variety of Patch sites. You'll also be likely to find me lingering around the various South Suburban Patch Facebook pages. As always, if you need to get in touch with me (and please don't hesitate if you need to), my email is ryan.fitzpatrick@patch.com and my phone is 708-657-7048.

Just book the restaurant in Homewood and the creative people will come with ideas in hand. The patch has an opportunity where the Trib and Suntimes failed at --- You guys really listen. Also -- one of the topics could be -- What are we as users willing to spend for our news? Maybe we can come up with some monetization ideas! -- Just a thought

JP,
I LOVE this idea! Can I count on you to help rally the troops? I'll put something together in the next couple of weeks!
