Missing from the list is DeRe's on Halsted. They are very nice and when they present you with what needs to be done with the car they are honest and give extremely competitive prices. They are not overbearing which as a woman is extremely important when you are looking for someone to work on your car. They do not treat you as incompotent.

My most vivid memory of Camms is when my husband called and told me Camms told him the frame on our car was broken in two places. They wouldn't let him drive the car home because it was totally unsafe. They gave him a ride home and took care of junking the car for scrap (and $40) - not taking a dime for either service - and keeping an eye out for used cars for us. We have been going there for about nine years now and will keep going to Camms until it's not there anymore or we stop driving! Kind, reliable, responsible, and a great value! Even with the car we did end up getting (a 2012 Mazda - that frame thing freaked me out so I went with a new car) I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. Camms makes me feel safe.

I took my car to Flossmoor Family Auto Repair years ago and then had Saturn service for a number of years until they went under. Went back to Flossmoor Family Auto Repair now owned by one of the mechanics who worked there years ago. They are extremely good, fair, very accommodating to schedules, don't try to go for the most expensive and a plus for me convenient to the train so I can drop off in the morning, walk to the train and pick up at night. I highly recommend them.

R&R Maintenance in Glenwood is 100% the most reliable and trustworthy place you can go to for your car repairs. Unlike every other place, they won't tell you that in addition to what you brought your car in for in the first place, you also need windshield wipers, a new battery or some sort of belt just to make a sale. They fix your car while checking for everything else. But R&R Maintenance will tell you the truth because that's the kind of people they are at the shop and outside the shop. "Good people". Other mechanics aren't trustworthy because they take advantage of the fact that you probably don't know if you do need the additional work done or not and probably don't even know what they are talking about so you get it done. I only take my car to R&R Maintenance because I would rather spend my money on a new belt for myself than a new belt for my car if I really don't need it in the first place.

I was referred to Rick Jr from a colleague, I wanted to buy a car so I brought 4 different cars to Rick and he told me which one to buy and why.
