Blues Showcase Chicago Fundraiser for PAWWS Service Dogs for Veterans

7717 W 95th St, Hickory Hills, IL | Get Directions »
$40.00

Enjoy a great evening out while supporting PAWWS in its efforts to provide military veterans with service dogs.

The first annual Blues Showcase Chicago, benefiting PAWWS, will be held Saturday, May 5, from 6:00pm to midnight, at the Lexington House, 7717 W 95th St, Hickory Hills.

The evening includes an array of well-known blues musicians, buffet, drinks, silent auction, and raffle. Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the door.

PAWWS (Paws Assisting Wounded Warriors) is dedicated to providing trained service dogs to U.S. military veterans afflicted with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), at no cost to the veterans.

All funding is derived from charitable donations.

PTSD and TBI are the “invisible wounds” that many of our veterans carry with them for the rest of their lives. PAWWS dogs aid the veterans in the process of re-entering civilian life and help them cope with challenges so they can live more independent and prosperous lives.

PAWWS is based in Palos Heights, IL, and its staff is comprised of professional dog trainers dedicated to the training of all PAWWS service dogs. Canine candidates come from a variety of sources, including rescue dogs.
