DESCRIPTION:Cooking with&nbsp\;Kids\nChildren will learn how to prepare f
 ood and identify food  preferences in this hands-on cooking class. The g
 rowth cycle\, use and  cultural significance of several ingredients will
  be presented and  explored through lessons.&nbsp\; An academic curricul
 um teaches math\, science  and language arts along with promoting good s
 tudy skills.\nProviding kids with positive\, fun experiences with food i
 ncreases the  likelihood that they will try and enjoy those foods. Stude
 nts work  together to prepare such dishes as Vegetable Paella\, Llapinga
 chos  (Ecuadorian Potato Pancakes) with Red Chile\, and East Indian Lent
 ils\,  learning in the process that new and culturally diverse foods can
  be  both tasty and nutritious.\nClasses meet Tuesday or Thursday from 4
