The fourth Homewood Cash Mob will take place on Friday, August 17th. The Cash Mob movement is a grassroots effort that gathers people together to "mob" a deserving local business. Re-acquaint yourself with all the great stuff Homewood has to offer, help provide a mini-economic stimulus and free publicity for a local business, and enjoy a fun opportunity to connect with other residents
This will be an ALL-DAY event; shop any time during our venue's business hours of 10 am - 6 pm, then gather at our aftermob venue at 7 pm. Sign up before the Cash Mob at our Facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/events/444873298886015/. We'll also have a sign-up sheet at each venue -- please sign in so we can track participation.

We are excited to announce the venues for this Friday's Cash Mob: Bella Vita and Mama and Me Pizzeria!
Begun in 2007 by co-owners and sisters Pam Dennis and Brenda Ellison, Bella Vita -- which means "beautiful life" in Italian -- carries many unique items for you, your home, and your outdoor spaces, as well as many gifts for family and friends. Bella Vita is well known for its generous support of
the Homewood community, holding fundraisers for organizations like the Cancer Support Center and South Suburban Family Shelter and donating to many school and sports activities. As president of the Downtown Homewood Business Association, Pam is active in promoting a thriving and vigorous downtown shopping district as a destination for shoppers throughout the southland. Bella Vita is located at 18111 Dixie Highway, one block south of Ridge Road; hours are 10 am to 6 pm on Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday.
Mama and Me Pizzeria, located at 18219 Dixie Highway (one block north of 183rd Street), is a southland favorite, voted as #1 Homewood independent pizzeria by HF Patch readers in 2012. Owner Kim Phillipos is a strong supporter of Homewood's music community, and the restaurant provides a venue for many of our up and coming and established artists.
