 olf Outing and Tribute Dinner in memory of Steve Fallick\, at Flossmoor 
 Country Club on July 15 and 16.&nbsp\; The outing will feature Hall of F
 amer Carlton Fisk\, who will compete against participants on the par 3\,
  seventh hole.&nbsp\; Flossmoor Country Club was founded in 1899 and had
  been the host to many popular events and players throughout the last ce
 ntury.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nJoin The Cancer Support Center for its d
 inner kickoff on Sunday\, July 15\, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. &n
 bsp\;Executive Director\, Melissa Barrett\, will present The TRJ Humanit
 arian Award to Brent Bachus\, founding Community Board member and three 
 term Treasurer. &nbsp\;The TRJ Humanitarian Award is given each year in 
 memory of Mr. Thomas R. Jones\, the husband of Patti McDonald\, co-found
 er of The Center.&nbsp\; Jones died of cancer\, but was known for his hu
 manitarian ways.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;The work Brent Bachus has done
  on the Community Board\, Development Committee and for The Center is im
 measurable\,&rdquo\; said Barrett. &nbsp\;&ldquo\;Brent continues to ins
 pire all of us to do more\, be more and work harder to spread the missio
 n and vision of The Cancer Support Center.&rdquo\; &nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nOn 
 Monday\, July 16th\, enjoy golf with Carlton Fisk\, Hall of Famer\, from
  10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Flossmoor Country Club\, 1441 Western Avenue
 \, Flossmoor.&nbsp\; Golf registration begins at 11:00 a.m.\, followed b
 y complimentary lunch and a Shotgun start at noon.&nbsp\; Individual tic
 kets for golf are only $275\, foursomes\, which include the Sunday dinne
 r\, start at $1300.&nbsp\; Event features include pictures with Carlton 
 Fisk\, silent auction prizes\, raffles\, games\, and an opportunity to w
 in a signed Carlton Fisk jersey.\n&nbsp\;\nThe Cancer Support Center pro
 vides programs at no charge for anyone affected by cancer in more than 7
 0 South Chicago communities.&nbsp\; 21 years ago\, a young mother and wi
 dow named Jenny started this golf outing in memory of her husband\, Stev
 e Fallick\, who died from cancer.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;The Annual Go
 lf Outing in memory of Steve Fallick is The Center&rsquo\;s most treasur
 ed event.&nbsp\; It&rsquo\;s a great opportunity to network with a varie
 ty of people who are all somehow connected with The CSC\, and reminds us
  what love and family can do in support of those fighting cancer\,&rdquo

 Center\nThe Cancer Support Center in Homewood\, Ill. was formed in 1994\
 , when six Southland women worked together to open a home-like center (w
 ith locations in Homewood and Mokena) for people in more than 70 Chicago
  southland and Northwest Indiana communities.\n&nbsp\;\nThe Center provi
 des services free of charge to a diverse participant base including canc
 er patients\, caregivers\, children\, teens and friends of the cancer pa
 tient. &nbsp\;Having seen their ideas grow to fruition\, several of the 
 original &ldquo\;seed planters&rdquo\; still serve in day-to-day roles a
 t The Cancer Support Center.\n&nbsp\;\nIn addition to support groups\, i
 ndividual and family counseling sessions and The Center&rsquo\;s compreh
 ensive Resource Center\, wellness programs are offered on a weekly basis
 . &nbsp\;Participants enjoy yoga\, qi gong\, meditation\, relaxation\, m
 assage therapy\, Reiki and healing touch. &nbsp\;On average\, The Center
  staff responds to more than 300 calls or visits to the Homewood and Mok
