Valuable free screenings are highlights of the 31th Annual FREE Family Health Fair, co-sponsored by Ingalls Health System and the Homewood Rotary Club. Check yourself from head to toe on Sunday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at James Hart School in the H-F Sports Complex, 183rd & Aberdeen in Homewood.

More than 20 screenings and services, including a free total cholesterol blood test, a free 12-lead EKG, cancer screenings and more, make this community health event unparalleled in the region!

Discounted blood tests include a $10 full lipid profile (HDL, LDL and triglycerides, 12-hour fast required.) Check Ingalls website for information on prices and fasting information on the: chemistry profile, CBC/anemia test, thyroid profile, hemoglobin A1c for diabetes, and a prostate (PSA) blood test for men not enrolled in Medicare.

Popular FREE displays such as mini-stress massages and screenings such as scratch tests for allergies, vision exams, hearing tests, foot screenings and more will return, as will valuable cancer screenings. Physicians on the Medical Staff at Ingalls will conduct breast health exams, skin cancer screenings and offer colon cancer screening kits. Rotary and community health professionals will conduct oral cancer screenings, cataract and glaucoma screenings, back and neck chiropractic exams, and much more.

Everyone is welcome, no residency restrictions! Register ahead at Ingalls.org/HealthFair for a separate line and faster registration. Appointments are not necessary for any of the day’s screenings, but for more health fair information, call Ingalls Care Connection at 708.915.CARE (2273).
