Illinois consumer group celebrates the Fourth of July with $100 giveaway

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is offering Illinois consumers a chance to win $100 off their power bills in celebration of Independence Day and its 30th anniversary as Illinois’ top advocate for utility consumers.

“Normally, CUB helps consumers lower their bills by battling rate hikes, giving out money-saving tips across Illinois, and showing families how to make their homes more energy efficient,” CUB Executive Director David Kolata said. “But in honor of the holiday, we thought it would be fun to give some lucky family $100 off their summer power bill.”
