Moxley Crew Performs in Narnia

Homewood siblings take to the stage this week-end in Narnia. The Moxley troupe, Maddie, 13, a student at James Hart, Rowan, 10, a student at Churchill and Ruby, 8, a student at Willow have all been rehearsing since November.
" My siblings and I are very close, says the oldest Maddie. " We love doing theater together, you can find us at home practicing."
Rowan, was the first to join Spotlight Theater last year. His first production was in Annie Jr. playing Rooster. He was an instant hit with cast members and an audience favorite. " Rooster is my favorite character because of the hair, fans and evil character."
In Narnia, Rowan plays Edmund.  " Developing Edmund has mostly been easy but not entirely, says Rowan."    " It's a little hard knowing when to be a brat and then a good person."
For the youngest Moxley, Ruby has been in theater for 3 months. Just like her siblings, she has gotten bit by the acting bug. " Developing my character, which is a Crulie was both easy and hard," says Ruby. The Crulies get a whole song by themselves and cool costumes."
Spotlight Theater brought their classes, camps and productions to the south suburbs about two years ago. The have a long history in the north and west suburbs of top rated productions featuring children 8-18. Each production includes costumes, music and professional backgrounds. The Moxley family is one of many that have "adopted" other Spotlight families. This is the third show in the south suburbs one or more have been involved in.
" Narnia is different than all the shows I have been in, says Maddie. I hope to widen my horizons in acting and techniques," she adds.
