Cinco Ways to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo: Patch Picks

Want to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the locals? Here are our Patch picks of places where you can celebrate this Mexican holiday.
- Head over to in Homewood on Thursday, May 5. A Mariachi band will be there from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., a DJ from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and a Magician will perform table tricks from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A variety of dishes will be served buffet style from noon to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- If you want to spend time outdoors, head to the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Chicago's Little Village, May 6-8 from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. You can enjoy music, food, arts and crafts in what locals call the heart of Chicago’s Mexican community.

- Eat in or take out at in Homewood.
