Flossmoor Fest 2011
The Village of Flossmoor is hosting their annual Flossmoor Fest tomorrow beginning at 11:30 a.m. at downtown Flossmoor and Flossmoor Park.
Hundreds of residents will gather tomorrow in Flossmoor as the village celebrates their annual Flossmoor Fest.
Recently named best festival of Chicago’s Southland by the Southtown Star, Flossmoor Fest offers a wide range of entertainment and activities for the entire family.
“I like to call this a community block party,” Flossmoor Assistant to the Village Manager Kimberly Richardson said. “Everyone comes out and celebrates the area.”

Richardson said much of the appeal of Flossmoor Fest lies in the local business participation and local entertainment.
“It’s not a huge vendor fest,” Richardson said. “It’s very tight—it’s about residents, the neighborhood and promoting local businesses.”

Flossmoor Fest will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday with activities and vendors distributed among downtown Flossmoor and . Children’s activities in will extend until 5 p.m. and live entertainment at the main stage in downtown Flossmoor will last until 11 p.m.
