As the fall season comes around, there are tons of fun activities that can be cheap or free for the entire family. Here are just a few!

Opening this Friday, Odyssey Fun Farm is a ton of fun for the whole family. Some attractions include a corn maze, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn cannon and kids zone. Admission is $10 but there are coupons available through their website when you join their mailing list.

To make it even better, is giving a free cone or dish of custard with admission and  is giving a free kids meal (with purchase of an adult meal) with paid admission of kids 12 and under.

Fear City

Fear City, located in Morton Grove, is a haunted house like no other. Created and run by Emmy Award-winning set and costume designers, this one is only for the big kids. And right now on Buywithme you can get admission for up to 52 percent off. That’s all scare at more than half the price!

Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm

Bengston’s is a fall staple in our family, but this year it’s even more affordable than before! They have kiddie rides, a haunted barn, corn maze, pumpkin launcher, pig races, hayrides, pony rides, great food and more. Their website also gives you the chance to print a coupon and they also list unlimited kiddie rides days included in admission!

Fall Family Campout

This frugal Flossmoor event is a fun way to bond with your family. The campout, held in for only $10 a space, includes a cookout, campfire, family games, raffles and movies.

County Line Orchard

County Line Orchard in Hobart is our annual family tradition. From apple picking to a moo choo, climbing goats to a pumpkin eating dinosaur, this place has something for everyone. And this fall, they are hosting a free event on Oct. 28 to end the season which will include: free admission, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, hay rides, and wagon rides!

Keep an eye on sites like Buywithme and FamilyFinds Chicago which just offered (and might offer again) half-off admission to Odyssey Fun Farm and half-off admission to Dollinger Family Farm.
