Lakeshore Learning has free crafts for kids on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the upcoming crafts include making a Save the Earth tote bag, a bunny basket and a gift for Mother's Day.

Build and Grow Workshop
Lowe's offers Build and Grow Workshops for children on Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. You can register your child online for the classes, but a grownup must attend with your child. The first 50 children to register get the class kit, goggles and an apron for free. The recommended age for the child attending these classes is 1st through 5th graders.

kid workshops are offered on a monthly basis, and are designed for kids 5 through 12. Children get the project kit, an apron and an achievement pin for free. Contact your or check the website for further details.
Archiver's scrapbooking store has free events for your older children, including free crops on Friday and Saturday evenings. They request a $5 fee to hold your spot, which they give back to you in store credit when you attend the event. April is also Tim Holtz month at Archiver's. Do you have a library card? Then you can get free museum admission to many suburban and Chicagoland museums! Check this website to found out if your library is a participant, then you can contact your library to find out if they have passes available. Your library prints out your passes, which are good for a week, and you can get your free tickets!
