Find out what Patch recommends as the Top 5 Easter happenings in and around H-F.

Since Easter is right around the corner, here are our Patch Picks for fun Easter "hoppenings"!

Teen Flashlight Hunt at &  (Friday, -7 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

Bring your flashlight and try to find the “lucky” eggs. There will be a Rock Band Hero contest, billiards, dodge ball and music. Pizza will be served before the hunt. $5 in advance, $7 at the door

Lucky Egg Hunt at Richard D. Irwin Park & Marie Irwin Community Center (Saturday, -10 a.m.)

Bring your little ones (6 and under) for this FREE event sponsored by Family Video. Bring a basket and try to find the lucky eggs—a Fire truck and special guest will also make an appearance.

Great Dog Egg Hunt at the Richard D. Irwin Park & Marie Irwin Community Center (Saturday, -11 a.m.)

This hunt is for the dogs! As mentioned in this week's edition of , this free event let's you find treat-filled eggs especially for your furry friend!

Easter Egg Hunt at the South-Steger Chicago Heights Library (Saturday, -1 p.m. to 2 p.m.)

Check out this free egg hunt with treats and a coloring contest for children up to third grade. 

Easter Egg Hunt & Easter Bunny Appearance at (Saturday, noon - 2 p.m.)

A free event with egg dyeing, crafts and contests will be happening during this traditional hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny.
