Homewood Days, 101 Dalmatians and a Teen Night Pool Party: 5 Things to Know

H-F Patch lets you know what events and activities you can look forward to in and around H-F in the upcoming week.

(Tuesday, July 5)

Come out and support your local Southland Vikings at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening! The game will be held at and tickets are $5 for Adults, $2 for Students, and free for kids under 12.

(Fri, July 8- Sun, July 10)

The family-friendly Homewood Days will feature carnival rides, games, and three stages of live entertainment and local fare. Hours on Friday and Saturday are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

There is a daily $5 admission fee for adults and children 12-years-old and over. Children 11-years-old and under enter free of charge. Proceeds benefit the .

H-F Battle of the Bands (Friday, July 8)

Don't miss out on this rockin' event which will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Friday night at . Winners will go on to regional and possibly state competitions!

Held at , this event will feature the work of District 153's Summer Fine and Performing Arts Day Camp.

The evening will feature Storytelling Theater Production's performance of Disney's 101 Dalmatians. 25 third- through ninth-grade students will bring to life the thrilling story of those lovable puppies and their narrow escape from the diabolical clutches of Cruella De Vil.

17 campers' art projects including clay bird houses, self portraits, photography, Mexican relief suns, pop art and printmaking will also be on display at the event.

Both the performance and art exhibition are open to the public.

Teen Night at Lions Pool (Friday, July 8)

Head on over to  on Friday for a special teens-only night at the pool. The event will be held from 8:15 until 9:30 p.m. It costs only $2.50 for season pass holder and $5 for non-passholders.
