Homewood Films Mock 'Portlandia' Intro in Anticipation of New Season

The video swaps shots of Portland in the show's opening credits with captures of scenes from around Homewood.

The village of Homewood can't wait for the return of hit IFC show "Portlandia."

The village created and filmed their own version of the series' intro, in advance of the season four premiere Thursday.

The satirical comedy series is based in Portland, Ore. and stars Carrie Brownstein and former SNL comedian Fred Armisen.

"We have many similarities with Portland in that we have a highly educated population yet low cost of living that attracts folks who are creative because they can afford to live their dreams," said Mary Jane Maharry, of Brava Public Relations. "Plus we just love the show."
