Homewood Films Mock 'Portlandia' Intro in Anticipation of New Season

The video swaps shots of Portland in the show’s opening credits with captures of scenes from around Homewood.

The village of Homewood can't wait for the return of hit IFC show "Portlandia."

The village created and filmed their own version of the series' intro, in advance of the season four premiere Thursday.

The satirical comedy series is based in Portland, Ore. and stars Carrie Brownstein and former SNL comedian Fred Armisen.

"We have many similarities with Portland in that we have a highly educated population yet low cost of living that attracts folks who are creative because they can afford to live their dreams," said Mary Jane Maharry, of Brava Public Relations. "Plus we just love the show."

The show’s intro is a compilation of scenes shot around Portland, set to the song “Feel It All Around” by Washed Out. Homewood's fans of the series filmed their take on the intro in a 39-second video titled “Homewood Awaits Season 4 Portlandia.”

Uh, no. Portland is known for its independent bookstores and coffee shops. It's bike friendly and green projects. Homewood cries for a trader joes and is full of hair salons. Where's the similarities?
