Update: Lost Dog Beau Returned to Family

Beau, a part Beagle, park Blue Tick Hound, ran away from home Wednesday morning, April 10.

Update: Beau was returned to the MacLeod family after he was brought to the Homewood Animal Hospital, this afternoon, April 10. The family extends their thanks to the community for their help in locating their beloved pup.

The MacLeod family of Flossmoor needs the community's help to bring home their lost dog, Beau. Beau, a part Beagle, part Blue Tick Hound, ran away from the MacLeaod home in the 1000 block of Western Avenue on the morning of Wednesday, April 10.

The family believes Beau may be in the neighborhood bordered by Dixie Highway, Western Avenue and Flossmoor Road.

“He is a very gentle dog, with no history of aggression,” said Heather Wigell, in an email. “He has approached people and hid in backyards in the past looking for shelter. He does not like rain or storms and will most likely do this again.”

Beau is described with a white and tan face, with black fur and white ticking on his body. He weighs about 110-pounds and is about three-feet tall at the top of his head.
