Morning Wind Chill Advisory in Effect

Wind chill values are expected to fall as low as 20 degrees below zero during the morning.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a wind chill advisory for Cook County from 4:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. today, Jan. 22.

Morning wind chill values are expected to fall as low as 15 to 20 degrees below zero.

Such low wind chill values can cause frostbite to skin within 30 minutes of exposure. Anyone who must venture outdoors during the night is advised to wear a hat and gloves.
