Patch Picks: Father's Day

Father's Day is this Sunday and H-F Patch knows just how you can spend the day with the best dad in the world!

• If your dad is a hockey fan anxiously following the Stanley Cup Finals, why not sign him up for  competitive men's hockey league. The league includes 10 weeks of regular season games, followed by playoffs. The rink is also open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday- perfect for a family fun day on the ice!
•  Any dad who loves to cook will appreciate the"Real Men Cook" event downtown on Sunday. Chicago's "Favorite Father's Day Celebration" involves sampling great foods, enjoying Chicago entertainment and healthy cooking demos, as well as free prize giveaways. There aren't many dads that would say "no" to barbecue!
• If you have a dad who loves golf, play in t or take advantage of the special Father's Day rate at !
• For the outdoors dad, is holding their annual "" event which involves a nature hike and climbing the tower together. This event requires registration by June 15 and is $5 for residents and $7.50 for non-residents.
