The Homewood-Flossmoor Ice Arena recently said goodbye to one of its long-time residents—a massive old tree near the entrance of the facility.
"Hated to remove this great old tree, but take a look at the hollow stump next time you're here and you'll understand why it was necessary," reads a comment on their Facebook page.
