Here's what some of you had to say:

:To live in a country where people treat each other with respect, welcome new immigrants with open arms, leave others to decide how they live in their country, help when asked, provide excellent education for our children, health care for all and a decent place to live.

: My American Dream is replacing Obama with a President that has some experience in the private sector, who understands economics and how jobs are created---a President who believes in capitalism, not socialism.

: Patch's appearance on the local news scene is very timely as local communities begin understanding how important it is to draw together and find ways to make a difference in own communities. Change will happen from the ground up...

: Love Patch. Found it recently. Need to hold these local moron officials accountable. I swear, you matter who you vote in, the politicains have this idea that YOU work for them. Seems like the trend from the White House on down that the people are mere serfs.

We got the ball rolling on date night suggestions that will keep you right here in town...and our commenters picked it up and ran with it!

Here are other suggestions where you can take your sweetie without going too far from home:

: Don't forget about Flavor Restaurant in Flossmoor Commons, which offers delicious food and live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

: I'd recommend the Drama Group in Chicago Heights for excellent (and very affordable!) live theater. Their 81st Season starts this October with a production of Smokey Joe's Cafe.

: A lot of our restaurants & merchants are supporting the local music scene -- Mama & Me, Tin Ceiling, Bergsteins NY Deli, Art 4 Soul, Thomas' Photographic Services, & the Zone are a few that come to mind. Check out South Sub Music's website for venues & dates.

: I believe Balagio's has a Frank Sinatra style piano player/entertainer one weekend night. Also, if your date night INCLUDES the kids, Grady's Grille offers homemade play dough for the kids to play with. Keeps them entertained at least through appetizers. ;)

Patch editors shopped several items around gold-buying stores in Oak Lawn, Orland Park and Frankfort to see how the gold-selling process works and to weigh the different offers.

It seems that a few people had questions and were satisfied with Patch's answers:

: This is an interesting article to me as I went on my own search through Orland Park with a quest for the highest price of gold...

: That was a great article. Very practical especially for these times.

: I loved that article and it answered some questions I had about selling gold.

: Wow, all good stuff to know, both the article and the comments. Thanks everyone! Plus, I loved the way the article was written. Nice job, Lorraine and Ben!

And Christopher got very detailed in his comments about how to shop around for the best price...take a look at the article to see it!
