Thank You Park Pride Volunteers

To all Park Pride Volunteers:

On behalf of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Board of Commissioners, we want to thank the hundreds of volunteers who participated in the 26th annual Park Pride Day on May 5.   The Park Board is very proud of the community’s commitment to this great event.  Park Pride Day allows us to get a jump-start on planting of flowers, weeding, mulching, and general park clean up before summer.  More importantly, it’s an opportunity for the community to come together for a common cause.

A heart-felt thanks to each and every volunteer, especially the park captains who coordinated the work to be done. We also want to thank all of the sponsors- those businesses who donated food, materials, or financial support so we could provide tee-shirts and a luncheon for the volunteers. 

Now get out there and enjoy your parks this summer!
