Celebrate Valentine's Day Family Style at Aurelio's

Valentine’s Day. Doesn’t it just conjure up images of special intimate moments celebrated between two lovers? Well, yes, until those two lovers get married and have children doubling or tripling their Valentine’s Day celebration. The fact is that Valentine's Day is not reserved only for romantic couples. In 2011, 53 percent of women surveyed planned to spend money on a family member, according to PriceGrabber research on Valentine's Day consumer spending.

For those with families, Valentine’s Day often means celebrating with those you love and care for … even if they are picky, messy and loud. So, while couples head out for intimate dinners, families seek restaurants that cater to the picky, the messy and the loud.

If you are planning Valentine’s Day for the family, in addition to a special meal in a restaurant that caters to families, why not use the occasion to start a few loving family traditions. For instance, exchange Valentine’s cards - not just mom and dad -- but every member of the family. Whether or not your kids are small, hand-made Valentines are always fun to give and receive. Or tell your kids a love story. Kids love to hear how their parents met. Or put love notes in everyone’s lunchboxes and brief cases. And, of course, when it comes to making dinner plans, make sure it is one the entire family will love. Did you know that Pizzerias are among the most family-friendly restaurants to celebrate your Valentine’s Day?

It’s true. Aurelio’s Pizza in Homewood has been a part of many family Valentine’s Day celebrations. In fact, this year Aurelio’s will be serving heart-shaped, cheese-filled ravioli in their special marinara sauce for this special day.

“We are all about family and noticed many families celebrating Valentine’s Day with us, so this year we added heart-shaped ravioli,” said Kirk Mauriello, director of franchising. “The ravioli is delicious for parents and a fun-shape for kids.”

The heart-shaped ravioli dish will only be available on Valentine’s Day and costs $7.50 for a half plate and $10.50 for a full.

If you are not in the mood for pasta, Aurelio’s also serves pizza, wings, sandwiches, salads and desserts, so there’s something for every member of the family. For more information check out www.aureliospizza.com or call the Aurelio’s in Frankfort at (708) 798-8050.
