Family Liquors Receives Nearly $10,000 for Store Updates

The money was given to the longtime Homewood business through the village's Facade and Property Improvement program.

The familiar old sign outside Family Liquors is about to get a more modern update.

The 37-year-old Homewood business, located at 18707 Dixie Highway, received $9,819.57 in TIF funds through Homewood’s Facade and Property Improvement program during the village’s Nov. 12 board meeting.

In addition to the new sign, owner Anthony Girolami plans to replace the doors of his interior beverage coolers, add new store lighting and repave the rear parking lot and alley. In total, he's putting roughly $25,000 of improvements into the building.
