Flossmoor: Ice Cream Capital of the Southland

Indulge. It's National Ice Cream Month! See how much of the sweet treat your neighbors buy.

Correction, 1 p.m. on July 16: The original article incorretly swapped Homewood and Flossmoor's numbers. Appropriate changes have been made.

Ice cream is a summer favorite that many people enjoy, but who likes the sweet treat the most?

In the south suburbs, no town buys more ice cream than Flossmoor, according to a recent report by Crain's Chicago Business. Residents in Robbins own the cone the least.

Is ice cream a luxury treat, or does the town in which people buy it speak more to the quality of ice cream shops there? TELL US IN THE COMMENTS!

When I want a REAL treat I eat Mitchell's. When I want a HEALTHIER treat I eat Zarlengo's Italian Ice. When I want an ice cream bar or ice cream sandwich I take some home from Dairy Queen. I miss Tom's ice cream for dessert after dinner, tho.

Ryan -- Your link title (if copy/pasted to, e.g., Facebook) still says "Homewood"
