Homewood's Chocolate Fest is Just Around the Corner

Homewood's 9th annual Chocolate Fest will be held at the H-F Park District Auditorium on Saturday. This year's theme is the '50s.

Homewood’s Community Relations Commission will host the 9th annual Chocolate Fest on Saturday, Feb. 19 at the from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year’s theme is "The ’50s."

In addition to delicious family activities, the event will feature national and local chocolatiers, live music from Fast Eddie and the Corvettes and demonstrations from professional dessert chefs.

For the competitive chocolate enthusiasts, an annual chocolate bake-off will be held. All are welcome to submit their entries for a small donation fee that will go to a local service group, according to a news release.

In addition, Homewood’s downtown merchants will host a “BINGO Stroll." BINGO cards will be distributed at Chocolate Fest and the trolleys will shuttle participants to various local business for a BINGO number and a treat. Winners will receive generous prizes, according to the news release.
