Angelo's Fresh Market Sets Up Shop in Flossmoor

Flossmoor’s newest business, Angelo’s Fresh Market at 1044 Sterling Avenue, opened its doors July 15, to much fanfare and support from the local community. The market specializes in fresh, premium grade meats, homemade pastas and sauces and more.

“We only take the best of the best,” said Carla Bolin, Angelo’s owner.

The market is Bolin's dream come true, after months of preparation, and with plenty of support from her family, friends and community. 

“We actually named the market after one of my father’s restaurants,” she said. “This has always been in the back of my mind, it’s always been something I wanted to get into.”

As the shop continues to find its footing in the local retail market, Bolin said her mission is to offer the finest quality products at solid prices.

“Our premise is very simple: give us 10 minutes and we’ll show you the world,” she said. “

Bolin said the community loves the new market.

“Everyone keeps saying, ‘We’re so glad you’re here, we needed something like this in the area,’” she said.
