Twisted Q Conquers Mac and Cheese Showdown

Owner Tim Donohoe responds to Patch readers who voted Twisted Q's mac and cheese the best in the area.

The people have spoken: mac and cheese reigns supreme.

This isn't your ordinary mac and cheese. Gruyere, aged cheddar, parmesan and blue cheeses are just some of the wonderful ingredients packed into this soul food delight.

Please join us in congratulating in thier victory.

Are you kidding me, Twisted Q is the best thing to hit Homewood since Dixie Highway. I ate there Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of this week with co-workers and am hoping to go again Saturday for dinner with the wife.

Are you loyal to any one item or do you switch it up?

I'm a Steger resident, but a Homewood native and have been a regular at the Steger location and was very excited when Tim told me that they were opening up in Homewood. I'm so glad that this business has been so well received in the Homewood community - I agree that their mac & cheese is sinfully delicious and get it regularly alongside of their laundry list of oh-so-good menu items.

So far, I've had several Dixie Brisket's and Hot & Dirty French Fries. The regular Pulled Pork sandwich was pretty good though. I may be more adventurous Saturday evening.
