Walmart is Coming to Homewood
The Glenwood Walmart store will be moving into the old Super Kmart location.
Glenwood's Walmart store at 103 Holbrook Rd. will soon be moving to Homewood, according to a release from the village.
The shopping center plans to relocate up the road to Homewood's recently closed Super Kmart location at 17550 Halsted St.
Walmart has submitted renovation plans to the village, but no opening date has yet been provided.
Homewood Village Manager Jim Marino says the village will not be offering any financial incentives for the redevelopment of the site.
