Homewood-Flossmoor Area LWV Hosts Film Screening
The HF League of Women Voters hosted a screening of PATRIOCRACY, a documentary which discusses political dysfunction and polarization in American politics.
The Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters recently hosted a screening of the documentary Patriocracy at Prairie State College. Members of the League and their guests, President and Mrs. Eric Radtke, Vice President Terri Winfree, and students from Prairie State College and Marian High School attended the presentation of the film which discussed political dysfunction and polarization in American politics.
Following the film, a discussion was facilitated by Ms. Whitney Woodward of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform. Ms.Woodward's work with ICPR involves judicial and transparency efforts. Feedback from audience members indicated that this stimulating program was appreciated by those in attendance.
League members who worked on the committee to make arrangements for presenting this film include Marjorie Armstrong, Barbara Hayes, Pat Hillstrom, Ruby Marsh, Maureen McSherry, Erin Roeper, and Chris Schmitt.
