Welcome to the Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters!
The Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters (LWV) is affiliated with the State and National LWV, which have been in existence for 91 years — since 1920, when women received the right to vote.
I joined the Homewood-Flossmoor Area League of Women Voters (H-F Area LWV) six years ago and have since become hooked on this dynamic organization.
Previously, my two years of service as Membership Chair helped me become familiar with many of our members. Now, as I begin my second two-year term as president, I have the opportunity to become acquainted with even more women (and men!) who share my passion for the league.
With this blog, I intend to write about my experiences with the individuals I've met along the way and to share news of LWV activities with the community.
