Special Flossmoor Meeting: Water Main Improvement Program

The Village of Flossmoor is hosting the first of two public meetings tonight to educate residents on the upcoming $7.28 million water system improvement referendum. The meeting will begin at 7:30 at village hall.

Village Manager Bridget Wachtel says residents can expect the following topics to be addressed at the meeting:

  • The purpose of the referendum—which is for voters to decide whether to finance this project with general obligations bonds.

  • What will happen if the referendum does not pass.

  • What the Water Main Improvement Program is about—including the steps the village has taken in recent years to invest in Flossmoor's water infrastructure and what else needs to be done.

The next public meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
